We encourage you to visit our centre with your child before registering. This allows them to experience the environment, meet our coaches, and ensure the programme is a right fit. Contact us at 011-10743200 to schedule a visit.
As part of the registration process, your child will undergo a mini-assessment. This helps us determine their current ability level.
1) How do the Monthly plans work?
You can choose between Monthly 6 (6 sessions) or Monthly 4 (4 sessions). Your 30-day cycle starts on your payment date. You may book any available class, and each attendance will use 1 credit (1 credit = 1 session).
2) Do sessions roll over if I don’t use them?
To maintain consistency in our training and scheduling, unused sessions do not roll over and will expire at the end of each 30-day cycle.
3) Can I buy extra sessions (Top-Ups)?
Yes. Top-Up credits are available if you need extra sessions. These credits follow the same booking and cancellation rules and will expire along with your current cycle (including any +7-day extension).
4) What counts as a “voided” or "forfeited" session?
A session is marked as completed and the credit is forfeited without replacement if:
There is a "no-show" for a booked class.
A cancellation is made last-minute (without prior notice).
The 30-day cycle expires before the credit is used.
Important Note: All training credits are non-refundable and will automatically expire after the stated date. Please plan your child’s training schedule carefully before committing to a package. Any last-minute cancellations or no-shows without prior notice will result in the credit being forfeited without replacement.
For full details, please refer to our Terms of Service & Enrollment.
5) What if FiNX cancels a class?
If FiNX cancels any class during your current 30-day cycle and you still have unused credits at the original end date, we add +7 day extension to that cycle (30+7 days). Please note that no extra credits are added; the extension simply provides more time to use your existing ones.
6) Does the billing date change when I get the +7 days?
Yes. Your next billing date will shift by 7 days to align with your extended cycle.
7) Do I have to be available during the extension?
Yes. You must be available to attend within the +7-day window. If you do not to attend during this time, the extension is forfeited.
8) What happens if my child is injured partway through a package?
Plan validity is fixed and is not extended for personal reasons. All training credits are non-refundable and automatically expire after the stated expiry date. Any remaining unused credits after this date will be voided and cannot be reinstated. However, in exceptional cases (such as prolonged illness or injury supported by medical documentation), we may consider crediting or postponing sessions for later use.
Please refer to our Terms of Service & Enrollment for more information.
1. Are the sessions group-based or one-on-one?
Our programme is conducted in small group batches.
2. What is the coach-to-athlete ratio?
We maintain a low coach-to-athlete ratio to ensure quality instruction and safety. Roughly 10-13 students per class
3. How old can my kids join?
FiNX Athletics programmes are designed for children aged 7 to 12 years old.
4. What if my 10- or 11-year-old child is interested in joining? Which level will they be placed in?
For All NEW participants, regardless of age:
They will start with the Discovery FMS Programme before advancing to the next level. This stage allows us to assess each athlete’s current abilities, movement quality, and readiness for next band.
Kids will complete a set number of sessions in this programme before being considered for colour band promotion. Advancement is based on individual skill mastery rather than age, and in some cases, athletes may fast-track to a higher level if they demonstrate the required competencies sooner.
6. Is your programme performance-based or general-based?
Our programme is primarily general-based, especially at the foundational level which is also known as "Kids' Athletics". Children begin with fun, activity-based training rooted in locomotor, object control, and stability skills. As they develop, they progress into multi-skill track & field disciplines focusing on developing well-rounded athletic abilities such as running, jumping, and throwing (like sprinting, high jump, and shot put without early specialization).
However, we do have performance training as well. We follow globally recognised long-term physical literacy framework models. While we do provide pathways for performance-based development, our core goal is to help every child build confidence, competence, and enjoyment through athletics. Whether your child is training for fun, fitness, or future competition, our curriculum is designed to support both recreational and performance-oriented growth.
7. How long does it take to complete the programme?
There isn’t a fixed timeline, as every child progresses based on their individual development, readiness, and consistency.
Our pathway is designed as a progressive journey rather than a race to the final level. While some children who begin at a younger age may progress through to Purple & Red as they enter secondary school, many will complete their journey at Green & Blue and that is perfectly meaningful.
Some may be ready to progress to the next training level sooner than others, while for some, it may take longer to master the required skills. The time needed for each athlete to advance cannot be precisely predicted, as individual growth, learning styles, and readiness vary. Progressing further is not about being “better,” but about timing, interest, and long-term commitment.
We encourage parents to understand that no two athletes are alike and to avoid making direct comparisons between them, focusing instead on each child’s personal journey and achievements.
8. What if my child struggles to keep up?
Our spiral curriculum revisits key skills, so no child is left behind.
Our curriculum is designed using a modular-spiral approach, which means key skills and concepts are revisited throughout the programme.
Events & Competitions
Will my child have opportunities to compete or participate in events?
While the FiNX Athletics programme is primarily designed for grassroots development, we do offer opportunities for students to participate in optional performance-based competitions.
While we support those who wish to compete, we also welcome students who are more interested in general fitness, confidence-building, and enjoyment through movement. All children are encouraged to complete the full training pathway—with or without specialising in a particular event.
Extra & special training for competitive activity through local/regional championships will only be available when kids are ready or got selected for representing the schools for MSSD (U11 & U12).
Will FiNX Athletics connect talented kids to competitions?
Our focus is on skill development through the progressive pathway. As athletes grow through the colour bands, they are better prepared for advanced opportunities and competitions.
What is in the assessment objectives
Our assessments exist to guide progress—not to label children. Coaches follow a centralised, progression-based lesson plan that builds strong foundations in running, jumping, and throwing. Each lesson targets specific skills and longer-term goals. As athletes move up, skills become more complex and may take longer to master. That’s normal. Every child’s pace is different, and we celebrate steady growth as much as quick wins. Their journey is purposeful, confidence-building, and deeply rewarding for long term success in other sports and activities.
How do I view my child’s progress?
Ongoing assessments are recorded each session. For colour band upgrades, kids are formally assessed using rubrics and given a simple report.
What's the difference between assessment and Grading band?
Assessments = everyday feedback.
In each session, we share what’s being learned and use brief criteria to gauge understanding and execution (formative assessment). This helps your child—and you—track progress over time.
Colour Band grading = milestone checkpoint.
Periodically, we run a formal, standards-based review (summative assessment) to see how well your child meets the overall learning goals for that band. Successful grading leads to a Colour Band upgrade.
Advancement depends on both:
attending a sufficient number of sessions to build consistency, and
meeting the required criteria with satisfactory proficiency.
When your child is ready, we’ll notify you with available days/times for the next level. If your child misses the dedicated grading week, they’ll be scheduled for the next cycle—we’re unable to run one-off individual gradings due to timetable constraints.
The assessment normally takes place after 5-6 months of training (depending on the consistency and sufficient number of sessions)
My child hasn’t passed this level… Why?
Foundational movement skills (coordination, strength, flexibility, agility) are often under-trained in growing years and take time to develop well. As levels progress, criteria become more demanding to ensure readiness and safety. Progress can vary based on many factors: when your child joined, attendance, attention to detail, grasp of technique, motivation, ability to follow instructions, and more.
Want to accelerate progress? Consider training more than once a week and ask coaches for specific at-home exercises and feedback on priority skills.
7. My child started at 11 and is now 12 but hasn’t moved up to Green yet. What does that mean? How long more will it take?
It's important to understand that progression in our programme is based on readiness, not time.
Children who start later especially around 10–12 (who doesn't have other sports training) often need more time to build their fundamental movement foundation first. These are skills like coordination, balance, rhythm, and body control, which are essential before moving into more complex athletic movements at Green & Blue.
So if your child is still in this phase, it doesn’t mean they are “behind” or not doing well. In fact, it usually means we are taking the time to build their foundation properly so they can progress confidently and safely, rather than rushing through levels. The exact timing varies, but what matters most is that when they do move up, they are truly ready and able to perform at that level with confidence.
What happens if my child is ready to move up a level but the offered days/times are not convenient or my preferred class is currently full?
We’ll place your child on the waiting list and notify you when a spot opens. In the meantime, staying in the current class is absolutely fine—coaches will continue to challenge your child with stretch goals so progress doesn’t stall.
Every child’s journey is unique. Please avoid comparisons and focus on encouraging effort, enjoyment, and consistency. We offer equal opportunities for development and never hold anyone back unnecessarily—advancement simply reflects readiness against clear benchmarks. If moving up isn’t possible yet, your child can continue in the current class while we target the exact skills needed for the next step.
Our assessments are not based on a pass or fail concept and do not punish the children who can not reach the requirements. They’re supportive checkpoints that help children see progress, build confidence, and understand what to work on next. We prioritise growth over comparison: what matters is doing a little better than last time—and maintaining that standard consistently. Assessments make progress visible and meaningful for families while keeping learning focused and safe.
Do you allow rescheduling of sessions?
We do not offer rescheduling for missed sessions. However, our curriculum is designed using a modular-spiral approach, which means key skills and concepts are revisited throughout the programme. This ensures your child can still progress, even if a session is occasionally missed.
What happens if my child misses a session? Can it be replaced?
If a session is missed, your child will simply continue with the next scheduled lesson within your plan’s 30-day cycle. We recommend planning your child’s attendance in advance to avoid missed sessions, as replacement classes are not provided.
Exception: Prolonged illness/serious injury may be considered with a certified doctor’s letter, at FiNX’s sole discretion.
Can we pause the programme during school holidays or emergencies?
No, the programme validity remains fixed at 30 days and will not be extended due to school holidays, travel, or personal emergencies. We advise parents to carefully consider their schedules before committing to a package to ensure all sessions can be completed within the time frame. Unless the coach cancels a session/sessions due to weather, facility closure, or unforeseen circumstances on our end, only then will the missed session will be extended accordingly.
